Marner slowly climbing, it's gonna take a while for him to crack the top 10. At least another year anyway. :)

Main boards are gonna lose their minds with Barkov at 22 and Auston at 8.
Someone on the main boards used the TSN = Toronto Sports Network comment and says why was Phil Kessel ranked 40th? I said during his time in Toronto TSN ranked him at 47th, 43rd, 38th and 36th, so it's false Matthews was ranked at #8 just because he plays in Toronto.

William sucks, he is a scaredy cat and is larger than Marner who puts it on the line.

Pretty boy status confirmed. William needs to grow a set and show us the pride of Sweden.

So far it has not happened yet but I wonder how long on the main boards until we see any Islanders fans complaining about Tavares being ranked #16 and Mathew Barzal being ranked #34.

tbf, Barkov should be higher. Matthews' placement is fine though.

Can't wait for him to put up gaudy totals this year now that he's finally going to get good PP minutes and has a left winger that has decent finishing ability. Wonder how the mainboards will whine about him then.

Matthews should be in the mid to late teens. These guys just mess with everything Toronto so that they can create hits. Matthews is a good player, no doubt but he hasn't proven much if anything in things like POs. He also seems to have some issues with the upper body and it's seemingly persistent. When that happens he plays but his production goes down a lot. If it happens again this year we had better think long and hard about the Matthews strategy.

I know the Leafs didn't win this year but in 2017 against the Capitals in the six games Matthews did score 4 goals and 1 assist. So his performance against the Bruins in the playoffs is not his only experience to go on about his play.
