Signed pro contract but in the Marlies today...what happened to the guy? Lack of commitment? Off ice issues? Remember him as being pesky and speedy

Believe he had a knee or ankle Injury that robbed him of his speed. Was never able to get back to playing at the pace that put him a half step in front of everyone else.

Read simply reflects the reality that decent players are on borrowed time when they hit 30, good players at 32, all stars at 35.
Age curves are similar, just that better players peak at a higher level so they have further to decline before they hit replacement level.
