Again, the offensive chops are there. It's awesome that they're letting him round out his game in the OHL. Primary point rate as a D+1 18-year old in the OHL was impressive - that shows someone who drives play, not just a one-trick guy. His D+2 year is stacking up to be more impressive.

The Sabres are definitely loaded down the middle over the long run. Hell, even if we move Mitts to wing, Cozens looks like a future 1B center and Pekar can center the 3rd line. Asplund is the in house cheap replacement for Larsson.

Sabres are set at C and D, the 2 most important positions really. Excited for this year...and REALLY excited for the next few years.

He’ll get some burn in blue and gold next year. We do have some exciting prospects in the system. Knowing Botts he’ll be traded as a secondary piece with our 2020 1st when we get fleeced for a top 9 guy.
