@SeaOfBlue so there is literally no incentive for Keefe to try out an unproven option like Dermott at this point.

The incentive is as follows.

To train him to be that player in the future. A few minutes here and there, in games that don't matter as much, where you are up.

To train him in case there are injuries. Do you think it would be better to have Dermott trained and ready to play on the PK, if Muzzin goes down, or better if Dermott doesn't play the PK at all, and then is forced into the position, without playing if Muzzin gets injured?

IDK if this was missed but Pontus Holmberg had a 3 point performance in his last game, which was good enough for Vaxjo to sweep Farjestad.

He is up to 6 points in 4 games in the SHL playoffs.
What a beauty, 6th rounder from 2018. Worth noting that the Leafs specifically traded for a pick to draft him because Bergman had his eyes on him. Overage pick too, though these numbers almost betray his game as a possession driving Center that plays on the PK. outperforming his draft slot, like Niemela, like Miettinen.

Some good updates on our prospects here.

--------------------

It would be great if we hit on Holmberg, to be a good depth C. I don't know if his offense translates enough to be a 3C though, maybe a 4C with some ability. That being said, we've brought over a number of Euro C's in the past, and really haven't had much success with them. What do people see as his likely role if he makes it with us?
