Leafs killed it last spring at the draft. Abramov is a beast too 27 point gap over the next best on his team and only one above PPG on his team

Liljegren up to 6th all time in PPG for 20 year old defensemen after the 2 point effort last night.

Marlies played well though. Bracco made 3-2 with about a minute and a half left. We got killed with the net empty giving up two. The score flattered the Monsters.

Moore with first goal since Oct 12 and Bracco with first pp goal of the season. A positive night in spite of the loss. Hopefully they get some revenge tonight.

Lineup Changes:
McMaster, Archibald, and Read in. Moore, Pooley, Baptiste out up front.
Harpur, Schmaltz in. Muzzin recalled and Lindgren are out on defense.
Woll to start

Who does play by play for the Marlies.
Sooooo funny.
Two nights in a row going on about the drill guy, how competent he is, and how good his drill looks.
There seems to be a disconnect between the forwards and the d. D wants to get the pick moving, forwards are pretty static along the wall.

Marlies lose 5-4 in OT. When you build a team around grit and toughness, this is what happens.
Give me skill every time.

They were overachieving under him given the forward group. Not enough talent up front.
The "big gritty" fans are getting a reality check.
It seems like quite a few people thought Keefe was just being carried by a stacked Marlies roster, but it looks like the reverse is true. He deserves a ton of credit for his developmental work and success. Dubas will need to find another great coach to hopefully get better results

Agreed.
I don't think Greg Moore has been great so far, but when you look at his skills and what people have said about him, I think he would do well with a skilled roster, and this roster is not that aside from a couple guys.
Right now I can't judge him properly.
Plus Keefe wasn't good in the first year and a half either, and he became good over time.

The team was first in the conference when Keefe was hired by the Leafs. It is amazing how much of a difference coaching can make with the same roster. The team on paper should be a good team.

It lacks forward depth, even on paper. Most days the bottom 6 is comprised of mostly replacement level players on paper. The top 6, the goalies, and the defense should be doing better and winning us games. There is just a lot of inconsistency right now.

Gilman should be working hard on the phones to see what is out there to help improve the Marlies. He's got some chips that he can use to help shuffle the roster around a little bit and maybe find one or two pieces to help jumpstart the team.

Stotts scores his 20th goal. He had 19 last season.
46 points in 44 games this season. Increase in production, good 2 way player with skill. He has to be in ELC territory if he can keep this up.
Edit: scored again. 21 now
