The more I think of it, the more I find it mind blowing that IKEA has a restaurant...in a furniture store.

It was on the CBC news that basically they lose money on the super cheap dawgs (Costco too) but it brings people into the stores and makes them a ton of money... Maybe that is why Molson wanted to improve the fan experience for everyone with better DAWGS!

I never heard MB saying that attitude was more important than skills. BOTH are equally important.

Ever been in IKEA? Once you're sucked into the vortex you can't escape. People have starved while attempting to journey across their retail badlands without proper supplies. Selling food is the very least they can do. They should supply free notarial services for anyone who realizes they may not make it out; they could also sell assemble-it-yourself emergency flares so rescue helicopters can find lost consumers.

The day I buy lunch at Ikea is the day I'm ready to be institutionalized.

You say that but you haven't tried their cakes.

Lol...

yeah Ikea cannot hold a candle to the might that is the whirlwind of your food porn Groove... in fact I'd wager that not much on this earth could to be honest!

That's very kind @Tank Toad. I have to admit that when I heard about the annual crayfish extravaganza at IKEA, I was intrigued. Our poor friend, @Runner77, was the unfortunate guinea pig in that exercise.

Bless his heart for saving the rest of us the disappointment and associated gastric dilemmas.

I would buy a luxury box for a good hot dog.

Two if it's got attitude.

When I a growing up, I had a friend whose mother bought these fat kosher hot dogs. They didn't have that artificial smoke flavour and had a real casing, like a proper sausage. That snap when you bite into a casing is so enjoyable.

Regrettably I can't find them in Calgary, but I'll bet they're readily available in Montreal or other cosmopolitan cities. Definitely worth seeking out. The ones I had were more like bratwurst in shape.

If you do find them, try one plain first before deciding on condiments. I have no idea of a company name, but if you have Jewish friends, that might be a good start.

Bold: Pretty much although I think the last part I disagree. To me it's simple: IDGAF who the GM is as long as they do a good job. I consider tanking a good thing actually so if he does well and restocks and we draft a bunch of studs and all that I can't complain. The past already happened. Changing GM to change him means nothing, all that matters is that whoever is in does their job well. I would never hope he loses trades or hurts the team just so I can see him leave. I would hope that since he's in the position he ****ing kills it and does fantastic because I want to see my team win. Obviously...if he doesn't do well...fire him(should be fired already) but now that he's there...win every trade please. Draft every star please.

And what happens if you don't believe the guy has any chance of learning from his mistakes and getting better? What if you think the longer he stays GM the harder it will be to rebuild properly because he continuously makes bad decisions?

I'm sure everyone wants this team to be a contender, personally I think every year Bergevin is in charge puts us one year further away from being a contender. The longer he stays the harder it will be for the next GM, so if having limited short term success extends Bergevin's tenure, like say Kotkaniemi being a #1 C right out the gate, it actually puts us further from contending because Bergevin is going to destroy other parts of the team, or being Bergevin will be simply do nothing while the window for contending closes.

It's easy for me really. I hope he does learn from his mistakes, I hope he does make great trades, I hope he does build a good team, etc...

At the end of the day saying "I hope he f***s up so bad we get set back a few years and then he gets fired" only to say "I hope the NEXT guy knows what hes doing" seems kind of...like an endless cycle.

As is I think MB should be fired and for the sake of not f***ing the team more I sure as f*** hope he doesn't do anything wrong going forward. I'm not going to hope he f***s up because what do we gain from it? We gain a new GM who is an unknown here who has to clean up a most recent f*** up.

It's like Gauthier to me when he got Kaberle for Spacek and all that. Thank god we have compliance buyouts...what if we didn't? Gomez, Kaberle, etc... disaster. We were lucky. A lot of the time the next GM will have to deal with shit like that and it will cripple a team's capspace or prospect pool.

By no means am I advocating MB stays. I'm just saying I'm not going to hope the GM cripples the team so that he gets fired. I hope for the best because we're screwed otherwise.

I've been several times but they have signs where you can skip everything. I do that. lol I look online for what I want then just go to warehouse and get it.

My first time though...ouf….was not pretty.
