Guerin played this pretty well. Davidson tried to pressure him into giving up the 1st, but Guerin stayed patient.

Fine return for Chicago, but I would’ve obviously preferred the 1st. But if it’s not there, there’s not much more you can do.

Definitely 2022. The conditions are based on Fleury helping them this year.

Fleury controlled where he went. He's been fairly average this year. A 2nd round pick that turns into a 1st if they win a couple rounds? I'll take it. Sucks that their road to the WCF runs through Colorado.

Also good on Davidson for honouring that handshake agreement. You do irreparable harm if you don't honour that, even if you aren't the GM who agreed to it originally.

Not sure if i'm a fan of these specific conditions on trades now. The more conditions they include the sillier the trades look. Otherwise decent value and i hope Fleury comes back next year. He played like a true gamer here even on our awful team. Good for him.
