I underestimated how big of an issue coaching and goaltending was going to be for us. Still, some players have been disappointing even beyond that

I don't think anyone expected (or could predict) the PK and goaltending falling off a cliff.

I was a Gardiner hater who became a Gardiner fan but this guy just seems way too unreliable to think you can last 4 long series with him and his inconsistent decision making.

Gardiner and JVR are guys you move on from when the sweet deals are ending. Because guys like Dermott,Kappy,Johnsson are pushing, because the salary/term is not in line moving forward and because the dynamic needs to be changed. The results need to be changed. Not because they are bad players or people. Just reality. Asset management. We failed that area this year.
