Padres have a great farm and made a big acquisition and have a chance to really rally the fanbase now the that market has a lot more disposable income with the Chargers are out of town. Good time for them to strike while the iron's potentially hot.

Not a fan of long term contracts, but at least he's finally signed. Maybe not Harper will sign today too. Even with a 5th year opt out, by year 3 or 4 (After the coming strike that is) we'll see how good this deal is.
