Manitoba Moose 2018-19 Season - Part II

Couldn’t believe how quickly the Niku bobble heads went today. Normally they have inventory with about 15 minutes to puck drop, but they went fast today. People lined out the front door at 12:45pm and gone not too long after opening!

Always bugged me how True North cheaps out with the Moose bobbleheads. Just f***ing make enough that every one in attendance gets one, even if the game is sold out. But hey, at least all the disappointed kids that had to go home without one got to see the cheap owner play drums.

LOL totally agree. What was kind of silly today was they didn’t hand them out right at the door to ensure people only took one. Instead they had a large table at the big TV at the entrance and people swarmed. Some people looped back and were walking around with multiple bobbleheads.

On a more positive note it looks like some good out of town outcomes for Moose this evening. Texas gets the OTL and Iowa continues their tank...

Yeah, I noticed that too. They used to just mark the person's ticket to signify receipt of their bobble but that's no longer an option since going with paperless tickets.

Another huge win for the Moose and Berdin with a shutout!

Berdin is just slightly below the minutes required for listing among league leaders. With 163 more minutes he would lead the league in both sv% and GAA - and by a pretty wide margin for both. The growing sample size suggests this kid is for real, wildly athletic style or not.

How much do you think Mr. lube paid for that advertising? I wouldn’t mind throwing down a few thousand to say whatever I want on the bobble head .

In this season of conflict and termoil with the Jets and HFBoards fan base I am finding solice in the Moose run. A bunch of scrappy underdogs written off for dead putting together a hell of a run.

I don't really blame them. He has been atrocious when in outside of his one shutout game. To be fair he has only played one AHL game since January 26. That was a 33 save shutout on March 22nd. He had an .865 before that game. I know sample size, but even if you add his other 3 AHL seasons he has just an .899 in 75gp posting just a .901 in 26gp last year, .903 in 32gp the year before, and .904 in 8gp the year before that. There is a reason they were able to sign him to an AHL only deal I guess is the point and the lack of faith in must win games is kinda justified.

No doubt he hasn't shown much of anything, just taking the workload into consideration.

No doubt but it's hard to blame them in having no faith in Appleby. I've never been a Comrie fan but hes developed into a decent AHLer so hopefully they get him back soon.
