F***.

Yes we have plenty of great German managers and we’ve only seen Jaissle deal with more talented opponents in the CL. But he’s the first “next big thing” in German coaching that I’ve been really high on since Nagelsmann got the Hoffenheim job.

Was really hoping Eberl would bring Jaissle in to upgrade on Rose…now how are they supposed to keep up with us when we leave Bayern & BorussiaCorp in the dust?

Don’t worry, the interim at Salzburg is a 32 year old German that was with Hoffenheim’s academy at the same time Nagelsmann was coaching in their academy.

Pedigree =/= quality.

Tedesco was once considered Nagelsmann’s equal, as well. Jaissle is legit.
Don’t worry then. Jaissle will replace Terzic at some point in the next year.

Those Saudi contracts are very tenuous. No way any of these guys are staying there the rest of their careers. It’s like the China fad from years ago. It’ll end quicker than most expect.

Ugh that would be awful. You might actually win something with him…if we let you.

I want him to replace Rose. He’s not as creative / experimentative as Nagelsmann, but with him & Eberl running things, Leipzig & us could snatch the BuLi race away from you & FC Hollywood :yo:

PS
China stopped spending on sports washing when their investments in foreign infrastructure got them enough soft power not to need football. The Saudi’s don’t have that same card since they haven’t bought up half of Africa or rebuilt the road & rail networks for Central Asia.

The numbers probably won’t stay this crazy for long, but we shouldn’t expect the Saudi’s to switch their focus on other forms of soft power as quickly as china did, especially given the length of commitment we’ve seen from other petro-states to sports washing.

The major Chinese investments in football in mid-2010s had nothing to do with “sportswashing” and the suggestion that they did, IMO, belies the fairly shallow analysis undergirding the entire “sportswashing” framing.

There was a lot that separated it from the Saudi investment in football, but saying it had nothing to do with sports washing goes too far in the other direction.

No way a young manager would see a job in the Middle East as anything but a (lucrative) stepping stone. (Non-Saudi) People don't grow up dreaming of hoisting the The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Cup in Jeddah. But there is some risk because of course it's easy to be forgotten down there, and before you know it you're a national team coach in a Third World country worrying about whether you get the last plane out before the revolting palace guard shuts down the city.

Spanish media (I know) is reporting Lucho is considering leaving PSG. Terrible look for him if true.
It's Marca lol...
They say he's not happy with the Mbappe situation and also the fact Campos is apparently under fire because of the Mbappe situation (no idea how it's his fault).

Gary O'Neil confirmed as Wolves new manager, that's honestly the best decision they could've made after the disaster that fell upon them with Julen leaving.
