So literally the only example of BMac going all in blew up right in his face. I’m sure he’s simply salivating to do that again.

He has done it before is the point, he understands that there is value in giving up a 1st round pick for a chance to win.

He also added a luxury item at the deadline. Adding a young skilled forward at the draft/before the season is a bit different

You mean T.J. Oshie? Which one of those two moves actually worked out for BMac?

MacLellan has shown every sign of being interested in keeping the Capitals a cup contender thru the lenth of Ovechkin and Backstrom's careers. He is going to need that first round pick to do that. The other thing is that that Caps don't need to spend a first round pick to acquire the pieces they need to be competitive next season. I find it very unlikely that he would trade a first
