1. We miss the playoffs, again. We aren't bad enough to get one of the elite superstar's in the draft though and draft somewhere in the 5-10 range, and we're out of the playoff picture early.
2. RNH and Yakupov have bounce back years showing why they were #1 picks, with RNH finishing around 70 points, and Yakupov flirting with 30 goals.
3. Scrivens and Fasth show they are decent goalies, but aren't ready for #1 duty yet, going stretches of playing very good, and sub par. The teams confidence in their goaltender's hurts their season again.
4. Offseason pickups do poorly on the whole. Purcell and Pouliot barely get 20 points and their corsi's take a major dive, Nikitin finds himself a healthy scratch at times for Klefbom/rookies, and Fayne looks like a slightly better Ference, but way out of place on the top pairing as the teams best D.
5. Arcobello puts up 40 points as the #2C, has a very solid Corsi, is above 50% on the dot, kills penalties, and Oiler fans still crucify him.
