1. We miss the playoffs, again. We aren't bad enough to get one of the elite superstar's in the draft though and draft somewhere in the 5-10 range, and we're out of the playoff picture early.

2. RNH and Yakupov have bounce back years showing why they were #1 picks, with RNH finishing around 70 points, and Yakupov flirting with 30 goals.

3. Scrivens and Fasth show they are decent goalies, but aren't ready for #1 duty yet, going stretches of playing very good, and sub par. The teams confidence in their goaltender's hurts their season again.

4. Offseason pickups do poorly on the whole. Purcell and Pouliot barely get 20 points and their corsi's take a major dive, Nikitin finds himself a healthy scratch at times for Klefbom/rookies, and Fayne looks like a slightly better Ference, but way out of place on the top pairing as the teams best D.

5. Arcobello puts up 40 points as the #2C, has a very solid Corsi, is above 50% on the dot, kills penalties, and Oiler fans still crucify him.

1) JTS will be wrong with his predictions yet again.
2) oilersfan11 will post McDavid pictures after every loss, probably even after some of the wins too.
3) Replacement will have a contrarian opinion.
4) Del Preston will post awesome gifs.
5) Tad Mikowsky will complain about posters complaining telling them that if they don't like the way Oilers are playing that they should just stop being a fan.

Oops, you meant Oiler predictions.

1. Mact trades Yakupov for Gagner, with the faint hope that Oiler fans will have someone to hate more than himself.

2. Dallas Eakins challenges a jersey thrower to a fistfight, loses, and removes all hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza from the concessions, replacing them with green smoothies, kale and tofu.

3. Bob Stauffer finally snaps, and tells everyone what he really thinks about the team, management, and Jack Michaels, is fired, and gets a job doing pbp for the Georgia Bulldogs.

4. Sam Gagner trademarks the name "Snowpants", and quits hockey after earning millions in the bitcoin market.

5. JTS loses his password, creates a new account and becomes STD, and infects HF Boards with an irritating but benign virus. Starts a new "who are you" thread where he claims to have played LW for the Prince George Cougars with Eric Brewer.

I find it far more sadder that I lost a foot race with Dan Kordic in a pick up game in 87

1) Oilers make the playoffs
2) This thread is absolutely ridiculous

1) Sequin is a scoring machine, and finishes second in points in the NHL,
2) Landeskog is a beast and proves why Colorado took him 2nd overall. He finishes as the top scoring left wing in the NHL;
3) Yakupov is a disaster, though isn't traded, is not an Oiler after this season - choosing the KHL,
4) Gagner hits 65 points in Phoneix and is responsible defensively under that system,
5) Bennett sticks with the Flames and narrowly edges out Johnathan Drouin in the Calder race.

I wish the first 3 would happen but sadly I gaurentee they won't :( especially #3, that one is impossible. Heck even number 4 impossible with Eberle challenging someone.

1.) RNH will have a breakout year. 70+ points (if healthy).
2.) Eakins will be fired after Christmas. Ramsay will take over.
3.) Yakupov will not have a great season and will be dealt before the draft.
4.) Oilers will pick in the 6/7/8 range in the draft.
5.) Purcell will be a complete bust, the Oilers will be forced to buy him out at year end.

Honorable mention

6.) Draisaitl will have many Paajarvi like stretches where he looks like he is in over his head, but he will finish the season on a good note.

7.) Oilers will start issuing $150+ fines at Rexall for anyone who throws a jersey or anything else onto the ice.

1. Oilers are out of the race in December
2. MacT gives Eakins votes of confidence throughout the year and keeps hammering he point that the fault is with players that are not willing to play "the right way"
3. Yakupov gets traded for next to nothing and scores at a 0.5 goals/game pace the rest of the year on his new team
4. Lowe can't handle having an equal title to someone else in the organization and promotes himself again.
5. We waste a year of LD's ELC on yet another crap season where over half the games are meaningless

1. Oilers finish 11th in the conference
2. Petry is traded for cents on the dollar
3. Draisaitl stays with the team, struggles, and lots of people question whether he should've been taken so high (rather than questioning the wisdom of throwing him into a marquee role as an 18 year old on a bad team).
4. Dallas wins their division
5. Gagner scores 65 points in the desert with good linemates, cushy zone starts, and very little pressure.

1)the team will suck and the Oilers will trade away more key players before firing Eakins
2)Oilers will lose 8 of their first twenty games by 4 goals or more, while being shut out 3 times.
3)a key player will make a remarkable recovery from an injury but play poorly
4)MacT and/or Eakins will start singling out one or two whipping boys before the season starts and the Oulers faithful will blame them for Ebola, Isis and Global Warming
5)twenty years from now we will be telling our grandchildren that we remember the worst signing in oiler history - Pouliot. MacT needs to marry someone with that name.
