M.A. Fleury a Hall of Famer?

If Grant Fuhr can be in he hall of fame allowing 39 goals a game, Fleury should be in there. I'm not saying i agree with it, but there are worse in there.

Fleury is in the same boat as Patrick Marleau. The accumule numbers will look impressive but they were gathered while being above average/sub-elite forever.
Both could get in because the press love them, they seem like good guys and the voters are mostly clueless.

If you are serious its amazing how daft you are when it comes to different eras. Goals per game was a lot higher in the 80s
I get that, but even then his GAA and SV% was very, very average.

Basically like saying Antti Niemi has a shot at the HOF.

Fuhr in the 1980's = Niemi of the 2010's

Transport fleury to the 80s with their equipment and training regimens and he likely does a lot worse. We are talking about a goalie who has never even been a top 5 netminder let alone arguably not even being the best goalie to come out of the 03 draft.
