His 1.71 ppg is the 2nd best in the NCAA this season, only behind Fantili.

Outside of Fantili, Farrell has the best ppg in the NCAA since Connor in 15-16.

21-22: Brink (1.39 ppg)
20-21: Caufield (1.68 ppg)
19-20: Dugan (1.53 ppg)
18-19: Fox (1.46 ppg)
17-18: Gaudette (1.58 ppg)
16-17: Aston-Reese (1.66 ppg)
15-16: Kyle Connor (1.87 ppg)

Also the 6th best ppg since 03-04

Interesting list . Some stars sprinkled in with nothing burgers .
For added context if you thought that was interesting: Elite Prospects - NCAA Stats All-time season

21-22: Brink (1.39 ppg) | age: 20
20-21: Caufield (1.68 ppg) | age: 19
19-20: Dugan (1.53 ppg) | age: 21
18-19: Fox (1.46 ppg) | age: 20
17-18: Gaudette (1.58 ppg) | age: 21
16-17: Aston-Reese (1.66 ppg) | age: 22
15-16: Kyle Connor (1.87 ppg) | age: 19

Sean's listed as 21... not sure if the age is based on the start of the year or end. Regardless,.. the younger the player is, the more impressive it becomes (seems like common sense).

Not to suggest that Farrell's going to have a similar fate as all other guys his age (ie. Dugan, Gaudette). I actually like his chances and have higher expectations given the lack of talent he has to compete with when it comes to getting meaningful TOI/PP opportunities (this doesn't account for the talent they bring in this years draft).

You also have other 21 years old who had lower stats lines and bigger NHL impact.

I feel like Suzuki does that job pretty well. I'd rather a guy like Slafkovsky on their line down the road to help win puck battles and control possession.

Could be a good fit with Dach eventually though, who is showing he has some finishing ability himself.
Agree'd. Im kind of hoping that it will be something like

(1st 2023) - Suzuki - Caufield
Slaf - Dach - Farrell
Flipping Slaf and 1st if needed

In the future without taking into consideration possible other additions (Other draft picks - current prospects - Dubois?)
