I found this old UK series: The Gods of Snooker. There's great footage and behind the scenes stories, I saw Cliff Thorburn, Canada's only world champion.
Remember the early days of TSN watching him go up against Steve Davis among others. Some great matches, learned a lot.

Just watched Think Like a Man 2...How did Kevin Hart become a superstar? He's so not funny. I don't get it. And who likes these comedies? Holy hell it's bad.

The one I can watch over and over, maybe not the best but imo the most entertaining, GoldenEye...Pierce Brosnan at his absolute best...Izabella Scorupco and Famke Janssen at their yummiest...:thumbu:

Specter and Casino Royale for me.

The villains, man!

Christ Waltz, Maz Migelsen and Dave Bautista were great in those two movies.

Sidenote on Bond films:

I thought Spectre started out so great. Loved the meeting with all the bad guys there and this big evil conspiracy... so creepy. I thought that was going to be the all time best.

And then.... they ripped off Austin Powers? What the hell were they thinking?

I hate when writers think that making things personal is somehow a shortcut to depth. The great thing about Blofeld was the mystery. We didn't know anything about him other than he wanted world domination. Making him Bond's stepbrother was just so freaking dumb. And the movie just got sillier as it went along. Great buildup over many films. Great start to that movie and then it all got flushed. What a disappointment.

Yeah, the second half could've been better, but I don't find it as bad as you did. It was such a departure from the usual bond flicks and refreshing.

The lowest common denominator? :dunno:

It's what I always assumed. Same way Britney and Bieber became so popular.

Dave Chappelle is so much better.

I think some of his stand ups and sketches can be funny but man he sucks in movies.
Can't compare anyone to Dave Chappelle imo, the GOAT.

The greatest stand-up of all-time is Richard Pryor and he's unique IMO in a way that he lapped the field in his artform. Take other artforms/genre and even the greatest have others who can rub shoulders with them. From my perspective, I just don't see that with Pryor. He was the perfect prototype. His delivery is untouchable.

Pryor was great. Prime Eddie Murphy, who modelled his early work off Pryor, was also on a different level.

Everyone should watch Bo Burnham's new Netflix special Inside. Both funny and poignant with some banging tunes.

I gave the Invincible series a shot this week.

If you haven’t watched it yet and liked The boys, it should be right down your alley.
