Moore had a great game and is closing ground on Johnsson/Kapanen.

Barrie's offensive ability was on full display and we're a much more dangerous offensive team this season with him.

Sandin was extremely calm but thats becoming the norm for him.

Ceci had a rough game but I'm willing to give him a mulligan seeing it was his home debut and it was against his former team.

Early days but this roster looks like the fastest and most balanced we've had in ages.

Made a few point blank saves...i give him that,but i don't like his puck playing and all the goals were on him...no one else to blame!

I know he looked bad on that opening goal, but that was more on Marner turning it over then him.

When Marner makes only one play and it's still one of the best of the night. Still can't get over that pass.

That's the magic of Marner. He can have an off-night (like tonight to be honest) and make that one magical play that results in a goal.

In the opening montage, they had the St Louis winning the cup snippet, and it was the most dry and monotone call by Hughson.

Nice win. Team defense still seems a little shoddy. Matthews with another signature season opener.

Barrie's puck handling is great. We'll probably see it backfire sometimes, but the tradeoff is worth it.

Muzzin looked pretty good at times too.

Mikheyev is going to be on JT's wing if Kapanen has more games like this.

Mikheyev can handle the puck whereas Kapanen has no clue.
