- Matthews looks to be on another level
- Barrie looks fantastic

- Sandin looks like a top 4 D already

- Somehow gave up 18 scoring chances against a bad team
- Lost focus at end
- Andy is October Andy, bit rusty
- Wasn't a fan of Ceci
That's why it's kinda hard for me to feel bad for him getting that skate to the face.

I mean I am glad that he's okay. But that was completely unnecessary.

you can’t expect perfection at game #1. What we did see is a team pour it on when they got going and that offense is our bread and butter.
Matthews looked good, Nylander looked good. 3rd and 4th lines were fairly solid.
liked Barries impact on the game offensively, though he does leave gaps in his own end. Sandin was strong. Rielly was Rielly. Muzzin is a bull.

When Marner makes only one play and it's still one of the best of the night. Still can't get over that pass.

Couple of Notes:
- Matthews is an amazing talent man. If he does this over the full season he wins the rocket
- Barrie had an incredible debut. Created lots of chances and finally gives us an rhd who can make a strong first pass. Him and Muzzin are a nice pair
- Is it just me or did Sandin not look like a rookie? If you told me that was some 27 year old top 4 d-man who's been playing for 5-6 years I would've believed you. Incredible poise and smarts
- Freddy was a little shaky but also had some key saves when it was 1-0
-Tavares line wasn't that great, Kappy doesn't work well with them imo. When Hymans back it should improve things
- Kerfoot didn't look that good to me, hopefully that changes
-Mikheyev had a solid debut. Really smart player, especially defensively.
Overall a great game after that slow start. Let's keep this going!

Rough start but the Leafs really dominated the last 2 periods, even had 2 posts in the first period.
Kapanen will need time to get used to playing LW for a bit. He's only been a RW since he was drafted as far as I know, so it's going to be an adjustment. He had a bit of a rough one tonight.
Andersen wasn't very busy. I thought he looked pretty average overall, but he did make a couple good saves when we needed it.
Mikheyev is going to be a Babcock favourite very fast, if he isn't already. Really good 2-way game with hope he can work on his offensive skill overall.

A mostly dominant performance from Toronto.
Quiet night from the Marner line.
Matthews line was awesome.
Third line was very good, Moore and the big Russian winger were very steady. Kerfoot was rather underwhelming.
Timoshov and shore were mostly invisible.
