Apparently, the Blues can't play hockey unless they're playing our Leafs!

Took 2 points away from us, and now, giving 2 points to our division rival!

Detroit played a very defense first minded game with a focus on puck transition off of turnovers .. the top 6 skill was absent tonight, everyone struggled to handle the puck and make a play, but the bottom 6 stepped up winning battles, using their speed.

Goat is having himself a breakout season as establishing himself as a quality 4th line centre.

Overall solid game... dicey coverage a few times... but definitely a big improvement over last game.

Andy played fine but overall wasnt tested to much.

3rd lines been fantastic.

Go Leafs

it's not mind blowing analysis to say that if our top 6 doesn't play better we won't win many games. They got bailed out tonight by stellar work from the bottom 6 guys.
Nice to have a bottom 6 capable of that every once in a while though isn’t it?

A win is a win and I wasn’t really worried but Detroit sucks and Howard made some terrible mistakes.

Happy that the bottom 6ers showed up to clean up after the superstars.

On to Minny.

Great game for both Babs and Dubas. The guys that need to be coached up and depth pickups were amazing. Embarrassing game for the most expensive line in hockey. And total disaster for Jason Spezza.

Mikheyev is soo good!

Still can't feel good about a win knowing who the coach is, but if these players can carry the team then great.
Marner is invisible.

We won, that's the important thing

The bottom 6 were amazing and Andersen made the saves he needed to for us to win, the defensive unit tightened up as the game went on

I thought the Matthews line was ok and the Tavares line was a black hole where all hope goes to die

Hyman can't get fit soon enough

Let's stay positive since it's a win. We can apparently beat a team like Detroit even with our top six MIA and a so-so game from our defense as well.

Feels good man.

A little off topic, is it just me or do Leafs games have the ambient noise toned down even more than when other teams play? Noticed the crowd volume is much lower in this Habs (I know, my eyes burned) game. I sacrificed much for this finding.
