It's early days but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the Leafs drafted a first round talent in the third round. Great move by Dubas (especially with the trade down ) as this pick was like getting an extra first rounder. No question SDA has Marner like smarts but there still is a ways to go to crystallize this win.

There’s nothing wrong with Durzi. He’s been skating in the main camp but just hasn’t gotten into any games. Sandin and SDA have been exceptional but that’s not an indictment of Durzi.

The only thing I would say though is that SDA and Sandin are junior aged still so they aren’t really expected to do much in camp. Durzi is 20 or close to it and is AHL eligible so you would expect him to be closer
