The oil ain't got nothing on us. We have the biggest, rawest and wettest talent

The greatest excerpt from a great post. "The wettest talent" I cant fathom what this means but Im ready to go with it. Lets curb stomp these guys and give the worst fanbase in the league more Leafs related *****ing to do, everyone needs a hobby I guess.

looks real bad tbh

They have no wingers. No offence from the back end, either. So the centers have to drive the offence on every line with less than optimal wingers.

I would expect the Oilers best game tonight. After last season, I think it will be a very tough game... or at least it should.

A lot of the guys in the bottom 6 wouldn't get a sniff of our roster

Poolparty = developing at lower levels
Slepyshev = doubt it
Strome = doubt it
Khaira = doubt it
Letestu = doubt it
Caggiula = doubt it

Maybe a Maroon or Kassian in as a face puncher for Martin, that's a big maybe

All those guys are starters that wouldn't make our team Daisy, that's a lot of guys :help:

That's not even bothering with the D

oooof. that's true. i guess that's what happens when you trade all your depth away/not draft properly.

Poolparty, Cagguila, Pakarainen, Cammalleri, Khaira, Slepyshev, if you add Brossoit as well, thats 7 players that don't come close to cracking the Leafs roster.

I'd add Ryan Strome to that as well, not a player the Leafs have any use for.

I forgot the D too lol but Eric Gryba, Auivtu (sp?) are definitely not making our team.

We're getting close to half their roster being completely ****.

Say a prayer for McDavid. It's going to take a while before Chiarelli's mess is off the roster. Might be a while before McDavid plays in the playoffs again.

McDavid is awesome. It's amazing how good he makes that **** roster look when he's on the ice.

because Chia is a donkey of a GM. i remember people were livid when he went to Edmonton and how we should have gotten him and I was like nope. he is junk. proof positive. right there.

Alberta is pretty awesome that’s why ;)

because of the Leafs fans who live there :laugh:

may be.... ;)

actually I have never been to Alberta so have no clue :laugh:

nah. its really gorgeous out there. i lived there for 4 years.

Got to be careful because McD will McD and the whole center depth is nasty but damn, I'm not sure Edmonton has any top-6 wingers. At least not any that you'd see on a contending team

Lines according to Bob Stauffer:

Lucic-McDavid-Puljujarvi
Maroon-RNH-Slepyshev
Caggiula-Draisaitl-Strome
Khaira-Letestu-Kassian

Am I off-base thinking that's putrid? No wonder they're where they are...

No, you're not at all. Their winger depth is hilariously bad.

Yeah, it's pretty awful but what the hell does Toronto do when they put Draisaitl on against Bozak?

Draisaitl hasn't been a center very much so far. Hopefully his lack of familiarity at the position, combined with this mucking wingers will make for an easier match up.

I'd be more concerned with the Draisaitl McDavid line together than having them separate. I think the Leafs can handle it better.

Bozak seem insulated by Marleau and Brown. He should be fine.

These kinds of lines is exactly what I've been a proponent for on away ice for a long time. If you can't dictate match ups, there's no reason to pursue shutdown lines and sheltered lines. Just overwhelm then with depth, spread out both scoring and two-way ability.

This should be a great game watching Matthews go head to head against McDavid who are 2 of the best players in the NHL today.

Oilers are going to be desperate. Every game is pretty much a must win for them if they want to make the playoffs. Leafs better be ready to start the game on time.
