Just said on hockey central that the Leafs have some interest in Chiarot but are more interested in Mark Giordano, he also said that teams that are interested in Giordano are waiting to see what happens with Lindholm.

Now that Florida has clearly gone "all in", I am curious how Dubas will respond.

Does he accept that his team right now is likely a couple of significant pieces (and a huge question mark in goal) behind and decides he has to do something major to compete, or does he calculate that the price will be too high and move toward depth pieces instead.

I really hope the latter; Maybe going into the playoffs this year with big question marks rather than like last year with very high expectations gives the players a bit more motivation and a tiny fraction less weight on their shoulders?

Muzzin is on LTIR so that gives them the space for Giordano if something like 30+% is witheld.
