Generally speaking, people are such music snobs. Genre varieties exist because people are allowed to have different tastes in music if they wish. It's common for people to think that what they listen to is the best kind of music simply because it appeals to them but it's such an elitist type of thinking to condemn people for liking something you don't. When you go on about a certain singer who 'sucks' just because you don't like them, it just makes you sound like a hater
