So many bitchy fans out West. We dealt with one of the worst fanbases last night only to go to another city which literally destroyed itself over a hockey game.

Hope the Leafs sweep the West.

Vancouver might be the toughest of the three to face lol. I wonder how Oilers fans feel that a team like the Canucks without any generational talent is playing better than them.

Nice to see Daniel get a 1000 points. I just hope the ceremony isn't a snooze fest like the Pavel Bure retirement ceremony. Nucks seem to always have these big ceremonies whenever the Leafs come to town. They really need to hire a new event manager and organizer.

My favourite post in OP is ChaQumbo laughing that the Leafs haven't won a cup since the Canucks having been in existence, when Vancouver has never won a cup and entered the league only 3 years after the Leafs last cup, putting them at 47 years as a team and no cup.

I live among them...trust me, out of the 3 western Canada fanbases, the Canucks are the most anti-Toronto. I mean they REALLY hate the Leafs and it's not even funny. Oilers and Flames are still quite relaxed when it comes to the Leafs compared to Canucks fans.

Someone needs to tell that ChaQumbo guy to get off his high horse as the Canucks have ZERO cups to brag about. Also, if these whiners had any reasonable intelligence; they would know that its the advertisers, and NOT the Leafs, that controls what team plays at what time. What a moron.

Leafs versus Canucks

Hopefully the Leafs bring their A game.

Canucks just knocked off the Preds.

Vancouver isn't the most difficult arena to play in and the Leafs have been finding ways to win.

One of my least favorite teams in the league, cheered for Bruins over Canucks ... probably only Canadian team I'd cheer against in the finals.

Calgary fans are the only cool ones.

Hope we see some changes to the line-up, would really like it if Polak came out and Nylander was bumped back up as well.

Driving through the province multiple times, I've seen anti-Ontario billboards on their highways.

Really, you'd pay to put up an anti-province billboard? Now that is dedication to your dislike ... have to give them props there.

It's only the lower mainland (Metro Vancouver) where the anti-Toronto strife is strong. The rest of BC seems normal...normal as in your your typical western Canada banter against the east. But Metro Vancouver on the other hand has some serious self confidence issues it seems.

Only in Vancouver would you tie a jersey to the bottom of bus and drag it on the road or have people walk over it. That's what Metro News did.

Then you even had our former Premier Christy Clark taking shots at the Leafs.

Like I said, Oilers and Flames fans might be chatty, but it's all in good humour.

The Canucks fanbase really HATE the Leafs...and I use that word strongly. This video below sums up what I mean...it's just really weird.

as the oilers get better would they ever move the Saturday game to Leafs @ Oilers? why do we always play canucks usually they aren't very good (seem ok but I think they will drop off this year). Mcdavid vs Matthews on a Saturday night hype writes itself what do we have tomorrow? Matthews vs Boeser? good young player but not at Matthews level.

I was wondering the same thing. Matthews vs McDavid would be a huge HNIC draw.

I remember years ago watching the above clip of that fat ass Nucks fan desecrating the Leafs jersey. I dont know about any of you, but I find that the ultimate disrespect imo. I would never do that to a rival team's jersey, no matter how much I loathe them. Hopefully karma has caught up to that fat f*** and now lives a shitty existence.

Yeah...most probably next season Leafs will play @ Edmonton on Saturdays.

There's nothing they can do to you that they haven't done worse to themselves. (ie. 2011 riot, 1994 riot)

I think the hate is mutual :)
I don't think it is, at least not to the same extent. I think the average Canucks fan hates the Leafs a lot more, they see Toronto bias everywhere. From the start time of the game to the way the major networks cover the Leafs and cover the Canucks. Many of them refuse to understand that either of those issues are out of the control of the Leafs and the fans.

It's definitely gone from decent to worst on this trip out West.

Calgary's fans are respectable then it goes downhill ending with Vancouver's whining and Hughson's passive-aggressive commentary.

You assume the Oilers are getting better, I live in Alberta, I get to watch them often.

Let me assure you they are not

the Canucks are coming off a LONG road trip, I find the 1st game back for teams are usually rough ones, I don't expect the Canucks to have their A game, I expect a win, and if SJ can do us a solid and beat Tampa we wake up Sunday in top spot in the East
