Leafs looked outstanding in the third. The breakout was good, the forecheck was giving the Caps nightmares, and even the 2nd PP unit was clicking. Great game!

Excellent game, I thought we were the better team top to bottom.

Grats to Lindholm on getting his first, I thought all 4 lines were great.

Freddy=anti October Freddy, MASSIVE game for him.

Auston continues to roll, getting ridiculous now, ABSOLUTELY f***ING RIDICULOUS.

Loving the ZH-JT-MM line, just absolutely does not quit.

Only thing I want is for Babcock to stop being a doofus and either play our first pp for the duration or at least make sure to tell the 2nd line they got 20-40 second and if they don't keep it in, the 1st PP goes back on.

Anyone who's not on board with trading Nylander for D is out to lunch.

There will be no Stanley Cup in Toronto with the way this blueline is.

Terrific win tonight though. Bend but don't break, right? Toronto weathered a storm and took it to 'em in the third.

I usually agree with you, but the greedy part of me wants to see what a team with Matthews, Nylander, Marner, Kadri and Tavares can do offensively if this is what we do WITHOUT Nylander.

They played really well for 13 minutes of the first, and for the entire third period. Even that short period where are line was dead tired, that is the point the goalie needs to step up and he absolutely did. It was a good win tonight against the Cup champions and other most dangerous offensive team.

Terrific win, two more additions to make us a legit contender. Sign willy and make a trade for a solid defenseman. We just need a guy who can play on the rightside and push Hainsey down.

Gritty performance.

Nice work by Andersen.

Really impressed with Kappy. Nylander's replacement imo.

This team has it all, just gotta keep digging it every night

How did Washington win with a worse defense though?

The team D is slowly rounding into form too, which is good to see.

Happy that the Leafs got some secondary scoring too :) Kappy is continuing to show that he should be on the Matthews' line.
That was the biggest thing for me. The leafs just won a huge game and it wasn't soley down to JT/Matthews and co
