There were 20, 2001 born forwards taken ahead of Abramov out of the CHL in the 2019 draft. Right now only 4 have more points than him. Tomasino, McMichael, Kayliev, Beckman. Dach would have if he was in the WHL as well, but pretty impressive for a 4th round pick, especially with how bad the rest of his team has been around him.

Abramov has an outside chance of getting 100 points this season. He needs to score at 2 PPG the rest of the way. Tough but possible. Too early to start focusing on that but was thinking about it today.

That would be crazy. Especially as an 18 year old with no support.

Marner and Brown had other players on their teams get 100 points as well when they did it (Dvorak, and Fox), Brooks in his age 19 season put up 120 and his next closest teammate had 70.

I know Sandin, Liljegren and Robertson are on the Leafs' list of untouchables bit how far away is Abramov from this list? And does his time in Russia help him get to the AHL faster?

What he's doing is great, but a long way go to be a blue chip prospect. Also unlikely that he would get enough value in a trade to make it worth giving him up, so really doubt he'll be traded

I don't mean to be the party pooper ...... but ......

How is this kid a stud? It's his D+1 Season. He's put up 60 points in 50 games, how is that impressive?

As someone who hasn't had a chance to see this kid play, it would be great to get some actual insight instead of people just saying, "don't just look at his stat line, ya dummy"

Here is where Abramov ranks on his team in goals, assists and points compared to 2nd place:

Goals - 1st (32)
Assists - 1st (30)
Points - 1st (62)

Here is how many 2nd place has in each:

Goals - 17
Assists - 19
Points - 34

The guy almost has as many goals as the 2nd place guy on his team has points. He's basically by himself making it so Victoriaville isnt one of the worst teams in the entire CHL.

Thanks Morgs for actually answering the question

I get he's outscoring his team by a country mile.
I myself was a little more curious on if anyone here had had a chance to see him.
How has his play developed? Or his usage?
Is he still that intelligent play-maker we drafted, or does his increase in goal-scoring reflect a greater change?
