Lots of skill and skates like the wind. Developed too fast. Should have skipped the exceptional status.

There was a lot more to it than the exceptional status part. His physical tools at 15 deemed him more than ready to play in the OHL. Its pretty tough to gauge a 15 year olds hockey IQ and that was his issue. That and all the stuff that went on with his brother. Glad he has overcome it all and is carving out a career

I wasn’t really insinuating it was his physical game that should have been held back. Anytime I watched him he was absolutely dominant. I think he lacked the maturity and mentality for it, but totally agree, glad he is overcoming it all.
