If they just wanted a warm body they would have called up someone else. He'll play.
Antipin showed next to nothing and was gifted an opening night spot that felt obligatory, not deserved.I hope he doesn't get the Antipin treatment.
Pilot with a pie if that makes sense. Is is "Pee-lut", "Pie-lut", or something different entirely? I can't remember from pre-season.
I've heard it pronounced PI-lut (English pilot) and PI-loot in Swedish broadcasts. It may be because of differing dialects, but I understand that the 'u' in Swedish is typically similar to 'oo'.
If it was Swedish it would be Pee-lot. I am not sure what is an American last name since most names date back 100s of years and was usually formed from a person's profession.Pilut is an American name though, most Swedish announcers tried to pronounce it like that.

PLEASE stop posting in this thread until he's playing! I get excited every time there is a new post
and it always turns out to be his name pronunciations.
The only person I want to here his name form is RJ !!!!!
Hope it was a good experience for him and I can’t wait to see him play for the Sabres soon
