Haven’t the fans been through enough. If the nhl owners want this team here why don’t pay the bill for a new arena.

Seems like the Mayor of Scottsdale is opposing the Coyotes land bid.

If they don't get this parcel, how do they stay in Arizona?

Source:

The city has no authority to interfere with the state land auction.

The mayor is having a ifft over a non issue of them using scottsdales utilities and paying for it when its a non issue. Its all setup to use phx ulitites and phx's own water not scottsdale.

Infrastructure costs are a big portion of any project like this and typically are handled primarily by local government (at least in Canada). So the Mayor not being on board with covering any is a big hurdle.

Which is required to be paid for by team owner himself as requirements set in order to acquire the land through the auction.

Bettman would like to secure a couple billion more in expansion fees before moving the Coyotes.

Because billionaires/millionaires didn't get rich from their own hard work/merit, they do it by spending other people's money. If the working class can't subsidize them they will go broke!
Not always true but a lot of truth in that statement.

By the way, cilantro is disgusting! 😉
