Good powerplay for Finland... Usa goalie with series of good saves...

Rare illegal substitution penalty for Bittner.

Nättinen still isn't showing signs of improving in the face-off circle, keeps loosing close to 3/4 of them. Not an ideal situation to have a 1st line centre be that bad in face-offs.

Laine and Puljujärvi are better than Matthews me thinks. ;)

There was some talk bout Rantanen moving to centre this coming season.

Kähkönen with 10 goals against in two games.. Hopefully he and the whole defense can improve.

So does everyone agree that Matthews is 3rd overall at best? Laine and Puljujärvi are just bigger, better and more promising.

Thanks for the updates. Who looked good for the US and Finland? Who were disappointments in your view?

USA goalie Halverson had string of good saves on 2nd period that might have been difference. Matthews was all over the place and had good game. Milano, Tkachuk and Foley were good too.

From finland best was Sebastian Repo:) Sopanen had good game but he got injured in 3rd. Niku, Puljujärvi, Gymer good games. Rantanen and Aho also but they missed lot of chances again like in first game of the tournament.

Quite even and competitive game and lot of players had good moments hard to single out guys.

Our defense plays well considering that we have guys like Leskinen and Mattila there, Kähkönen just isn't making any big game changing saves. Hopefully Vehviläinen does better.

Sopanen got injured at the end, he was unable to put any weight on his left leg. Apart from few weaker plays he's been really solid in this event, would be a pity if this turns out to be something serious and he's out for several months.

Edit: actually Kähkönen has allowed 9 goals since the last goal against US White was an empty netter.
