Laine is getting better and better.

Just need that year 1 and and when Stastny arrived confidence back in his game.

He'll be almost the total package in terms of what he can do offensively with his size.

In his game that i dont see as much anymore since the western conference finals...

But looks like mentally the team is now in snyc..

Laine has this 10 games or so when he gets into a hot streak and seems unstopable.

He hasn't have one yet this year.
Hopefully he gets that, if that happens. It'll catapult him in top 10 in scoring...

on pace for his highest shot total (273), but lowest SH%. first 2 seasons 18 SH%, next 1.5 he's at 11.9% and currently rocking a career low at 11.3%. Still on pace for 31g and 82pts. Would actually need to shoot 18% rest of season to hit 40gs and 90+ pts if his shots per game pace remains constant and no change to assists output. Scheifele somehow has been shooting 19% the past 4 seasons, however his SOG volume isn't the same as Laine's

It really is amazing how good he is this year and how complete his game is at 21 years old. There are very few 21 year olds who have done what he has done. Hopefully we get to watch him get better each year for years to come.

Scheifele is a very selective shooter and rarely takes a low percentage shot. It is probably a good thing for Laine to continue to be a volume shooter since his shot is so good he will score on some of them. Scheifele is also great at puck retreival which also helps keep possession with a volume shooter at his side. You add in Connor with his filthy mits in tight and that line is on its way to becoming something special.
