His performance is actually CS worthy, unlike Sid in 16. Ovy is 1st in goals, 2nd in points, plus player. You don't have to make up arguments in his favor (two-way play or leadership or whatever).

yup Ovie is most definitely CS worthy but so is Sid's. It was a weak year as everyone on the Pens stepped up.

Ovi/Kuzy this year > Sid's last 2

I did say if Kuzy got 5 points, that along with being the better player in these playoffs will allow him to top Ovi's legacy/storyline vote. But even when he pulled it off today, it still seems like it's Ovie's to lose.

If Vegas is able to make a series of this and Kuzy still keep getting points he can take it. If Caps finish it in game 5 its most likely Ovechkin unless Kuznetsov has a really good game 5(3-4 point night with a couple of goals and Ovi a maximum of 1 point should maybe swing enough voter to Kuznetsovs side). If Vegas pushes it to game 7 and Kuznetsov gets 2 point average in those 3 games it will be hard not to give it to him if he beats Malkins record.
