Can anyone translate the important parts? Does he discuss the NHL or Minnesota? Thanks in advance.

Youtube can translate it for you (can't vouch for the quality) but go into close-captioning and select English. My Russian isn't great (to say the least) but this seems pretty fluffy so far and why is it taking place at a nursery school...??

The NHL has an agreement with the rest of the leagues that the NHL contract supersedes the other leagues. The NHL/KHL don't have that agreement.
The NHL contract doesn't "supersede" per the agreement, but the agreement allows for the "transfer" of players under contract by Euro leagues - which the NHL will then send back "compensation" for said players.

That's why it's called a "transfer agreement."

You are correct though, there is no transfer agreement with the KHL.

I used the wrong word, but it's the same reasoning.

Either way an SHL (for instance) club can't say no you can't have this guy to play at the NHL level. Even the kids on the ELC slide get "loaned" to the other clubs. The NHL deal comes 1st. It really only effects recently drafted players, there aren't many signings of players under contract with a Euro club for the next season.

But i thought rights to players were lost if they went unsigned for a period of time.
The time you see this the most is for guys from the NCAA. If they're unsigned after three years, they become UFAs. We signed Mike Reilly that way.

For the KHL, though, it's indefinite.

Four years for NCAA. Two years for non-KHL Europe and Canada.

At this point I think it's way more likely than not that he comes over and plays the 20/21 season. It sounds so stupid to say things like this, but the fact that he 'likes' the Wild's posts on Instagram and things like that seem to show there isn't any animosity.

Yep. Kovy is easy to spot, he's the best looking dude of probably all the Russian players. Then there's Malkin, Radulov, and obviously Kap.
