If he keeps it up (along with the other guys) then Maroon can watch from the press box, maybe he can even be a guess commentator with his good buddy Jack.

I thought he'd be a feel good story that'd get an nhl goal, play a half dozen games, and then be an afterthought, but he's been a great addition.

I feel like even though his lack of foot speed is apparent, guys like Lauko/Boqvist/Beecher all make up for it by being fleet-footed.

That reach he has covers for some speed deficiencies too, he’s pretty effective on the forecheck

"If" is doing a lot of work in that sentence, considering its back surgery on a guy who was a slow old load going into the season. But I agree, if he's healthy, and gets a few games to gel then he'd be on the ice.

Thornton played regularly until the ECF when Bergeron missed a couple games with a concussion and Seguin went into the lineup and scored a bunch of goals, prompting Claude to keep him in and scratch Thornton until game 3 of the SCF when he felt they needed a jolt of energy. After Horton got hurt Seguin came back in for the rest of the finals.

i think they could. they would keep teams hemmed in in tge offebsive zone. its a 4th line. if not uou swap msroon with louko tine to time.
3rd line of freddy beecher and geekie i think would be even better.

His skating leaves much to be desired but his hands are deceptively soft within 6 feet of the net. I like the net front presence. It seems the NHL game has shied away from having a big body in front of the net somewhat the past few years. I remember when Claude experimented with Chara in front of the net a few times on the PP with some success.

Get him working on the foot speed and I think you have something there.

This guy is surprisingly good at using his size. He is a threat along the boards and in front of the net. And he seems Nick Ritchie slow but his hockey Iq must be really high because he someone still manages to be on the right side of the puck all the time.

For a big dude who skates like he is in a puddle of molasses, his hands are quick as hell and he makes the right decisions. Hoping he can find a bit more physicality to his game but I've seen him taking the body a bit more as he gets comfortable. Solid find for the fourth line!

He won't be winning any speed contests, but he hasn't seemed to me to be too slow for the league. He probably moves as well as JVR, and Maroon, maybe Backes near the end. He can get where he needs to be when he needs to be there and seems smart enough to do it without the great wheels.

Brazeau is like a human barge - defensemen don’t seem to know how to play him. I’ve seen guys try to reach around him or get in his way but no one really trying to move him (good luck) or cross check him out of the way

I don’t believe he’s fought professionally or even on juniors

He’s like that big dinosaur that eats grass and berries

Since it’s starting to appear this guy isn’t a nice story but may be a concern long term or playoffs I would tell my non - Fox defenseman tomorrow night to get his blood pressure up- see how reacts to being prodded a bit

Trouba especially I would want to give him a couple of checks/whacks and see if there is any T Rex in him

I remember before Brazz played his first game, there was a lot of people saying he was big but lacked physicality. He’s probably been one of the most consistently physical 4th liners in the last handful of games. He’s made a couple of big hits and is an absolute pain in the ass to get off the puck. He protects the puck in front of him like Coyle does.
