With a win tonight, Sharks can take sole possession of 4th in the NHL in points percentage. (Assuming MIN/BOS/NYI do not win)

That is pretty crazy when we have been having so many issues getting in sync.

To be fair, this is a team that is supposed to be one of the few legitimate contenders for the Stanley Cup, and they have played against pretty much only mediocre or terrible teams. It should be expected that, even with some issues, they are still one of the NHL’s best teams.

It's hard to describe what we have seen so far. They have looked bad and good simultaneously. But, they only have 4 regulation losses in 15 games. Regardless of how they look, they pull in at least a point most nights.

A lot of that is a function of the teams they’re playing against.

Good lord 2014-2015 sharks had an awful roster:

Karlsson-Thornton-Pavs
Marleau-Couture-Nieto
Hertl-Sheppard-Wingels
Goodrow-Desjardisn-Burish
Scott

Vlasic-Braun
Mueller-Burns
Dillon/Demers-Hannan
Tennysson

Niemi
Stalock
Compare this lineup to how our team looked a few years back. We're missing Hertl and are still looking pretty good. This team is deep and I full expect DW to add to our depth at the deadline. Thanks matt trick from the other thread for posting!

From Vlasic, Braun, Dillon, Burns, Hannan, and Mueller to Karlsson, Norris Burns, Vlasic, Braun, Ryan, and Dillon is pretty ridiculous. Granted that was a superior version of Vlasic and Braun, but damn.

We need one more forward though!

Most importantly, here's to Jumbo. We are unbelievable lucky to have gotten to watch him play so many games and provide so many memories. Here's to another 200 or 300!

Tonight is the first Sharks game in Dallas since realignment I'm not going to and one of the few since moving here in 09 we haven't gone to. It's our anniversary and my wife can't go, so I'm staying with her to watch the game at home. We'll be at the December Sharks game in Dallas though!

That said, for the sake of mine, my family, and the entire Sharks fan nation in Texas sanity, for the love of God Sharks, please win a game in Dallas. It's been since February 2015 since they've won there, and most of the losses have been lopsided, including last NYE, 6-0 shutout. In fact, the last goal in Dallas was in a blowout in 16-17 seasons (When Sharks played in Dallas twice in the same week to constitute all of the Sharks games in Dallas that season and only score one goal total between the two games), and haven't scored more than one goal in a game since the 5-3 Halloween 2015 loss.

To put it another way, there were 3 Sharks @ Stars games in calendar year 2017, those two in one week in March, and then Dec. 31, 2017. The Sharks were outscored in those 3 games, combined, 13-1. Imagine those were the last 3 Sharks games you attended. And in Dallas of all places. That one goal was a garbage time goal too, so we haven't had a meaningful goal celebration since Oct 2015. Haven't we suffered enough?!

There haven't been many games since realignment in Dallas, but still, for the love of God, score some freaking goals and win a game in Dallas for us, PLEASE!! (Fun fact, on our anniversary in 2014, the Sharks played in Dallas..and won! It was the game where Seguin had a hat trick, but the Sharks still won 5-3)

GO SHARKS!!!!!

Stalock!

And yet, this is the last Sharks team to win in Dallas (Stalock started for that last win in February 2015). :banghead:

DeBoer has alluded to that several times...we haven't flat out lost much. But we do need to do way better in 3rd periods. Our guys seem to get lazy in the first 10 minutes of the 3rd.
