Haven't watched the last few Utica games, but the issue for me when I tuned in earlier this year was his skating. I'd be interested in the views of other Utica watchers. Has he gained a step?

No, but he's floating less than early on, so he looks a bit faster overall. Does that make sense?

He has a realy strange and missunderstood style of skating, love it. I hope he will master the smaller ice eventually.

Not remotely similar. He is a kinda slow but fancy skater if you can imagine that. Has a chance to be a player but isn't close enough yet for a call up. Play has been on an uptick recently.

I think the reason Dahlen's considered disappointing is that he was apparently (I won't pretend to follow Swe hockey) tracking very well for 2yrs post draft. Look at the threads after the trade. People thought he was a top prospect and a massive steal. There was a ton of hype. Maybe that was all naive, i have no idea.

I distinctly remember more than one person calling the Burr for Dahlen deal akin to Erat for Forsberg.

Yeah, not so much.

He's a very sneaky type of talent. When you watch him enough you come across a kid whose talented and should have a decently lengthy NHL tenure. I cannot wait to see him in the line up.
