Not to beat a dead horse, especially when it is now a virtual certainty that we are playoff bound, but this is the magic number thread and if any of the Avs, Kings or Blues lose today the Jets need just 1 win to clinch. Whether the Avs end up ahead of the Jets or not is a different conversation.

A jets win may very well clinch on Sunday but it won’t be because the Avs lose a game today.

I'm glad our Connor is also doing well and I want him to continue. I suppose my main point was that everyone is so focused on the race between Laine and Ovi that they're overlooking the fact that McDavid is actually not far behind with 7 games to go. He's scored 4 goals in the last 2 games and with 38 goals is only 5 back of Laine. Since Edmonton is now eliminated from the playoff race they are now playing relaxed which may bode well for McDavid. I'm certainly pulling for Laine but just saying it wouldn't surprise me to see McDavid come up from behind and take the goal scoring title in the end.
