I was gonna add a poll to see if people think we can beat the Wild. That opponent scares me as they're one of the hottest teams right now.

It's a long shot but I'll start tracking a magic number and a tragic number for first in the division.

Mar 31 - 1st place Tragic Number = 4

Mar 31 - 1st place Magic Number = 14


Tragic number is for Nashville to clinch.
Magic number is for Winnipeg to clinch.

Both teams have 4 games remaining. Both teams are also tied in ROW (the first tie breaker) although it would seem likely that if we somehow end up tied the Jets would end up controlling this tie breaker. That would lower the true magic number by one. Nashville won the season series (second tie breaker)

The Jets obviously do not control their own destiny and would need Nashville to lose at least three of their remaining four games in order to have a chance.

Agree. If the Jets beat out LV in the standings then they will for sure have home ice advantage in the WCF if they get that far.

As much as I would like first in the division and get a banner (Jets are still the only Franchisr without one with Vegas getting the Pacific last night and IMO the one Atlanta doesn’t count).
I am pretty darn happy for 2nd in the toughest division in All of Hockey..I also really don’t want to play a west coast team.

Minny 1 magic number point (STL) away from clinching 3rd overall if the ANA and COL result holds.

NSH 2 magic number points (WPG) away from clinching 1st overall.

Looks like we'll lock up the matchup on April 4th.

NSH plays FLA on the 3rd.
WPG plays MTL on the 3rd.

NSH needs to "gain" two points over the jets to lock up the division.

Minny plays ANA on the 4th.
STL plays CHI on the 4th.

to keep a sliver of doubt, Minny needs a clean loss to ANA, and STL needs a win against CHI.
