Boqvist earning his spot in the lineup lately.
He really is a guy who is part of the glue that holds puck possession and our aggressive play together. The speed and fluid play. We have looked more like the 13 wins in a row Devils of the fall the last couple nights than we have in a long time and he’s been a big part of it.

Hope we can keep him and don’t have to give him up in a deadline deal.

Yeah... Been a boq train, 1st class ticket guy myself.

Hope we dont lose him and hope he keep producing. That smooth/sweeping skating with the puck goes a bit under the radar. If he can get the McLeod/Wood guys some punch in their offensive game, id be fine keeping him on 4th rest of season.

I really wonder what Mercer’s role is here longterm. A huge middle-six contributed for us, just hard to reconcile his potential with current role.

A 50-60 point W/C with top six upside isn’t bad of course. He’s a great fit on a line with Nico but also could be a play driver for the bottom-six too.

You can see flashes of what Zetterlund and Merced will be capable of when they hit their primes. Going to be great players for us
I’m afraid to get too attached to Zetterlund until after the trade deadline. A little worried the Sharks will be targeting him even if Holtz has better upside. Such a good player and a perfect compliment to our forward group.

Seems like the notion around the league is the Devils have a small forward group and are pushed around. But with Palat, Haula, and Zetterlund, they’ve added a healthy dose of a more physical presence.
