People looking too much into the Miller thing. That's more on the bench. Delia had motioned to the coaches if he should come out or not and was not getting anything from the coaches there. That's why he was hesitating.

As for the rest of the game. That 3rd period was disgusting. As soon as they came out and the lines were jumbled, they immediately gave up. Don't let a fluke goal fool you thinking into was closer than it was. Absolutely gutless performance in the 3rd by everyone but Delia.

Also Brock was so unbelievably casual and slow. I don't care if it was hypothetically Father's day on the next game, he deserves a hardcore scratch for the poor game he had. No finish, no compete at all.

It's definitely going to be moved on from faster in the clocker room than it is with the fans/media. Like when teammates fight in practice.

“Boost his numbers”.
Ummm if that was possible wouldn’t every coach do that to every player ? Lol.

Miller has negative value. You now need to attach pick or prospect to unload him

Horvat last game “we are above .500 let’s stay here”

Literally the next game….. nope.
This made me laugh. It sucks I can only get enjoyment from my favourite team through mocking them.

The minor acquisitions around the edges plus Mikhayev show a level of competence our former leader did not oversee.

mikheyev has been good. joshua has been okay. bear we'll see but if they resign him to real money it's a loss; he's not a top 4 dman

the rest are bad. stillman is a disaster even as a depth defender. the cost for dermott was way too high for a guy who you hope can be a 4th or 5th guy. aman, lazar and studnicka aren't nhl players

if you include the miller and boeser signings it gets even worse

Man if Dermott turns out to be a 4 and the cost is a 3rd then it’s a f***ing steal.

Yeah I missed Stillman. I will absolutely not excuse them for that.

if you know dermott is going to be a second pairing guy sure, a third is a great price. chances are pretty low dermott ends up a second pairing guy though. he had tons of opportunity in toronto and never showed he can do it. a third for like a 25% chance dermott matters beyond this year is terrible

If Dermott didn’t get his brain f***ed at the beginning of the season we would’ve known by now if he is a 2nd paring guy. I guess we’ll find out by end of this season.

Honestly feel like it’s going to be hard to judge Dermott And Bear considering this team’s defensive mantra is YOLO

I see in all the pre-season spin-doctoring, the 'experts' were predicting a 30 goal season for Boeser. He'll be lucky to hit 15. Simply too slow for today's NHL. And he's a Corsi disaster in his own zone.

The time and space he had a few years ago has all but disappeared as the league gotten faster. And his albatross contracts means that like Dickinson before him, the Canucks will have to throw draft picks on the pile in order to get out from under it.

Come to think of it, the Canucks have more than a half-dozen contracts that are virtually untradeable.

The fact this cap-max core comes along with probably the worst prospect pool in the league is what really matters. All this other stuff is window dressing. You're screwed, sir.

Thought that was a pretty good game, entertaining to say the least. Lots of good things to take away.

Hughes looks to have his Mojo back. The skating, the puck protection. Jumping up in the play and making his own offence. Even throwing hits and separating the puck. On his game, Hughes changes the way the team can play more than anyone else.

Kuzmenko looks good no matter the line. Think we win this game if he's on PP1. Boeser just aint the guy. Lots of pressure, too many missed shots.

Myers and OEL were solid again.

Not so great..

Pederson looking like a call up in this one. Thought the penalty against was weak af though.

EP been playing great, but has a nasty habit of dangling INTO traffic. Usually at really bad times, and when there's clear good plays to be made. Lots of turnover on his part tonight, and one that cost a penalty and goal.

Lazar is a 4th liner, Nothing wrong with that, but just a 4th liner.

Delia was good, but lots of losing the puck. Gotta think a lot of the saves are pure adrenaline, and the wheels could come off any time.

Garland is okay, but for all the making fun of Hoglander or Hughes shot, Garlands is by far the worst. He has a way of doing a lot, with little accomplishment. Not much of a fit here.

JayT gotta chill... but also yea.. goalie needs to gtfo the ice well before then. There's supposed to be someone with some speed going down that far wing to pass to, like a PP.. but instead turning around to find just your goalie. lol. Don't think any of them will lose sleep over it, really only something fans care about.

The line juggling was egregious. Just needed to shorten the bench in the 3rd, not slap 4 entirely new lines all together. HellyBuck was good, no rebounds for second chances, seems to always play well vs us.

Not a bad loss, clock is ticking tho.

Delia - yes he made some great saves but some of that was a result of his poor initial positioning. Was fumbling with the puck all game (sometimes almost comically). Seemed on several occasions to lose any idea of where the puck was or where he was. In the end, he was lucky this wasn't a blow out.
He played .921 hockey which is pretty damned good for a guy being chucked into a game against a good team.

Myers and Oel we're shiet like they always are. If they costed 3m each then that's another conversation. Gotta love guaranteed contracts.
