How long will Rod keep Slavin getting the majority of PP time?

Rod has been resistant to making any major changes to the lineup. Slotting Slavin in for Hamilton was the simplest plug-and-play option without disrupting the other pieces on PP1 and PP2. Although as some have pointed out swapping Hamilton for Slavin means the entire right side of the PP (Slavin + TT) is essentially zero threat to shoot and opponents know that.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gardiner gets bumped up at some point after the break. Maybe Williams replaces TT as an actual shooting threat from the right side.

He's listed as healthy so it may just be that Rod decided he was more comfortable with Wallmark for this game.

Unless CAR brought in Gardiner with the expectation that he would double as goaltender when he's on the ice, there's no reason to be disappointed with his play. He's been himself in every way, including being maligned undeservedly.

Yes, and the Canes' FO apparently agrees based on the increased ice time that he's been given since even before Dougie was injured. The trade "rumors" have not come from Canes sources but rather from outside reporters.
