There is no doubt that he can pass. Plays a pretty wild game though. He is all over the ice.

On the assist play, when Hughes had the puck he immediately got the attention of 2 defenders. He’s so dangerous 1 on 1 that teams get bent out of shape to let 2 or 3 guys track him.

90% of the time it leads to good things though, and he generally back checks and provides good back pressure. He needs to clean up his errant passes though, especially when he moves to the next level where flip passes through traffic just aren't going to work out most of the time.

I think Bobby Brink is a Caufield-type RW sniper the Devils could target at #34. But Caufield is getting less and less likely to last past 15 picks with every game in this tournament.

It's just 1 game but brink doesn't really look like a sniper at all. Has quite good vision and passing though.

I think Caufield is certainly very good.

But Hughes is going to help whoever he play with on the Devils look very good. Break out year for Bratt upcoming.
Bratt would be great with Hughes, they both think the game at such a high level. Those two with a pure scorer would be ideal.
