-Islanders surprised by toews game and he makes the team out of camp.

-Barzal finishes top 3 Calder votingz

-Islanders have top 5 pp.

-Isles get Belmont deal done right around deadline, resign tavares and make a ryan smyth type splash at deadline.

good thread

I'll play, Snow becomes GM of the year. Bold enough ??

seriously:

1- Pulock plays a huge role in the Isles being a very dangerous PP (top 5 sounds good) with Ho Sang carrying the puck through the neutral zone

2- Isles have a better record than the raggies and the blue shirts miss the playoffs

3- I shoot 72 at Bethpage black

Halak pulls groin in camp , misses entire season to re-hab

Gudlevskis is called up , steals a few games and slowly wrestles the bulk of starts from Greiss by late nov .

Isles surprise the league and are a top-five team all season. Easily make the playoffs .

Ho Sang surprises the league, scores early and often before tapering off. Still has a breakout season.

I agree with the poster above, Pulock is a bust.

Belmont gets resolved sooner rather than later. Tavares re-signs by the Allstar break.

No Duchene, who stays in Colorado.

Isles have the most exciting team in the league and the question quickly goes from "why would JT resign" to "why would JT NOT resign with that young core".

Andrew Ladd scores 25 goals.

Lee starts the year off slow and tops out around 23 goals.

Pulock gets hurt, Toews is called up and he never looks back.

Beauvillier spends the year down in the AHL due to how well Barzal and JHS are playing.

If Greiss is our number 1 for any length of time, we are screwed. As a backup, he is great. But whenever he starts most of the games in a long enough stretch of time, his numbers always go down.

1. I think the team is going to finish in the bottom 5 teams in the league, the defense is really bad now, aging players, Hickey, etc...

2. Kulemin scores 20 goals in his first 50 games in a contract year and is dealt for a 1st rounder at the deadline to Los Angeles.

3. JT is not dealt at the deadline, but signs with Philadelphia of all teams

4. Toews gets called up and does well, after we deal CDH to St Louis at the deadline.

5. Isles will be in less than 8 fights during the year

6. Isles will give up 7 or more goals in at least 10 games

7. Eberle doesn't get 40 points

8. Despite bad season Weight and Snow remain

Barzal plays less than 10 games in Isles sweater.
Ho-Sang wins Calder
Belmont deal stalls due to political BS and Quebec or Kansas City talk becomes real.
Hickey and Pulock outscore Boychuck and Leddy

After CDH is traded Toews gets called up and plays good.

Pulock/JHS/Barzal help power play crack top 10.

Isles have 2 rookies in top 3 of Calder race

They finally acquire MD for 2 1st rnd picks, CDH and bellows

1) Isles have multiple 20+ goal scorers - JT/Lee/Ladd/Nelson/Eberle/Beavillier/Ho-Sang
2)Isles finish 2nd in the division behind Pittsburgh(I don't care what anyone says about the Metro being a beast. It's Pitt and a bunch of evenly matched mediocre teams)
3)Toews sticks/Pulock busts
4)Isles surprise and trade for a legit number 1(because why not)

Legit number 1? (Center, Dman or Goalie)
