Lafreniere beat out Makar and Hughes in recent polls, so I’m curious to see if the consensus has him as a top-10 NHL asset.

Think about this question as how many current NHL players, or prospects would you take over Lafreniere to start building your franchise.

Edit: It looks like I can’t change Top-20+ to Top 20-29, so just assume that the 20+ option is 20-29. Apologies.

Top 15.

For what its worth there were polls done in march or so ranking top 50 assets and he came in #10 exactly. Makar was #12.

I think both Hedman and Crosby are top 10 so they bump him down 2 spots. So he's around 12. Id have Makar really close, probably 1 or 2 slots back

McDavid, Mackinnon, Matthews, Eichel, Dahlin, Draisatl, Pasta are all without a doubt more valuable right now (not in any order just as I thought of them). I dont think anyone would argue that.

I think Petersson and Makar would be worth more as well without a game played. SO at best I would have him tenth but wouldnt be surprised to see him pass Petey and Makar pretty quick either

You forgot Kucherov.

Also - i think both Crosby and Hedman are more valuable too as assets.

So - top 15 is safe.
