Admirals beat the Wolves in preseason tonight. Ingram with the shutout. One guy who I never heard of scored two goals. Another guy I never heard of scored another goal and Girard scored the last goal with 6.1 seconds left.

I actually streamed this game and realized it was mostly ECHL players playing. I guess they sit their big name players as well.

Troy Grosenick is in goal. Felix Girard, who is on a TO, is wearing an "A" tonight. Girard is centering Craigs and Dauphin. Jeannot is centering Magwood and Pendenza. Roy with Maclise and Weninke.

On defense, Adam Smith was paired with Scott Savage; Fred Allard with Josh Healy and Matt Donovan with Brandon Fortunato. Three dmen are out tonight. Donovan and Allard, the only RHD, on the 1PP.

There are 21 forwards in the Admirals camp. Some guys will be going to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL in Estero (near Ft Meyers) to play for Coach Brad Ralph.

Huntebrinker (#21) with a PP goal for the Ads about 6 minutes into Period 2.

Huntebrinker got a minor, came out of the box an assisted on a shorty by Olivier. 2-0 Ads with 6 minutes remaining in Period 2. That is the way to come back from a 5-on-3!

Michael Huntebrinker with his 4th goal and 6th point of the preseason. Now he goes back to the Sin Bin. 3-0. That is 3 goals on 8 shots! There isn't a lot their goalie could have done to stop any of them.

Tucson seems like a good team, they just aren't as strong on the puck as the Admirals.

Magwood with the 4th goal for the Ads and the first one in Period 3.

At 6:44, Laurent Dauphin scores off an assist from Huntebrinker and maybe Schneider? 5-0. It looked like it hit the crossbar.

The Admirals killed a 5 minute boarding penalty to Healy and made it look EASY. Tucson 0-7 on PP.

Olivier with 1G and 1A was the #3 star.

Grosenick with a 32 save SO and the second star.

Huntebrinker was the #1 star with 2 G and 2 A.

My hot take is above. Flip a coin on goalies, its going to be even all year IMO. Admittedly not sure how Gaudreau, Pitlick, Pendenza and Salomaki will shake out, on lines, but otherwise, it would make sense to see the Trenin/Blackwell/Schneider line again since that worked well at the end of the season. Don't read into the line orders, just pairing out the names as they would seem to fit.

I'll be curious if Gaudreau plays center or wing. For the 3 years he was down in Milwaukee, Evason always had him play wing, but then seemed to play a bit of center with Nashville.

That is scary. The Ads had problems last season with the Wild. They lost Game 5 in the playoffs to them.

I heard Aaron Simms mention that Milwaukee had only 1 healthy scratch, which tells me that 3 or 4 forwards are injured. I want to check on who didn't play up front in that game.
