Not going to look good in Oates system considering how Godawful year Carlson has had, actually the whole Caps dcore has looked like ECHL Ryan O'Byrnes'.

I would say solid prospect. 3rd line NHL ceiling AHL bottom 6 floor. I think his numbers are inflated this year with the talent around him.

Actually, MacDermid is a tough 4th year pro. Payne is a 2012 BOS 5th rder who scored 24 goals for Plymouth in 66 GP this season.

Carlson has looked like **** in the regular season the past two years, under Boudreau, Hunter, and Oates. It's not the system. More likely, it's some combination of switching between several systems really quickly, lack of confidence (possibly brought on by the prior), and inconsistency due to youth and inexperience.

Yay Chipotle.

Get Johnson out of here. Avs are not going to be good enough or put him with the capable people to make him successful. He's got incredible upside with nobody to teach him but himself. Bad formula for success.
