Iggy Signs With Colorado

The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Jarome Iginla.
In 78 games with the Boston Bruins in 2013-2014, Iginla scored 30 goals and added 31 assists with a plus-34 rating. The Bruins were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs by the Montreal Canadiens.
The 36-year-old is coming off a one-year contract that paid him $1.8 million base salary with performance bonuses that reportedly paid him an additional $3.7 million. In 1310 career games with the Calgary Flames, Pittsburgh Penguins and Bruins, Iginla has 560 goals and 607 assists for 1167 points.
Iginla has won the Maurice Richard Trophy (2002, 2004), the Art Ross Trophy (2002) and is a six-time All-Star. He's also captured two Olympic gold medals with Team Canada in 2002 and 2010. Although, the Stanley Cup still eludes him.
Iginla was originally selected by the Dallas Stars in the first round (11th overall) of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
