Aaron Portzline of The Athletic surveyed a bunch of agents and wrote that he expects Cole's contract to be in the $4.5 million range.
Does that seem reasonable?

Over two years or three?
far too rich for my blood but I will say Pittsburgh missed him something awful this postseason
they'd be better off without him. That 7.5m could do some good elsewhereto rich for the penguins to i would say they missed letangs brain more though

Sure, why not. Theyve already shown they can win without himLike a puck moving defenceman?

They backend was better with Cole. He played really well for them (much to my surprise). I get that Letang is a fan favorite for a fair % of Pens fans, but I think he's their best tradable assetA) They had to be “responsible” defensively for the better of games - every game.
B) They didn’t actually play “responsible defensively.”
C) Cole was on the team while all of this happened.
when Mike Green is the UFA "prize".....Unfortunately, its very reasonable. The upcoming UFA D market is pretty underwhelming, to say the least.

Im operating under the assumption that there's no way in hell WSH lets him walk out the door. They lost multiple dmen last offseason. Cant afford to lose another.John Carlson waves hello.
