Value of: Ian Cole to the Leafs

So Ian Cole was recently traded to the Ottawa Senators, But you have to believe to Cole may be on the move again before Monday.

Toronto is a buyer and looking for depth on D and there wee rumors earlier in the season that the Leafs were in on Cole before he got moved to Ottawa.

I know the teams are division rivals but they are in very very different spots in the standings but with Toronto being a buyer and Ottawa being in full blown rebuild mode there may be a deal there to be made.

Ian Cole is probably the best rental defenseman available - maybe second to Mike Green. That might say more about the market than the player, but it's true nonetheless.

If Nick Holden brings back a 3rd and a prospect, then Cole should be worth at least a 2nd.

Pens don't win two cups without his play. He is the guy who took the tough assignments on the PP and physical play. He is a warrior and the Pens will really miss his grit. Very under rated and anyone getting him it is a upgrade. Who on Toronto has won two cups? He is not a bottom player at all. Really never understood the meh with a cup winner while other so called stars can;t come up big like him.
